Transmission Control Module on an Audi A6 December 14, 2015 Jeremy Turner 0 Comments We were called out after a big rain. The customer had a passenger side floor board that was full of water. After he dried the floor there were some lights that stayed on when he tried to drive it. There was a check engine light, an ABS light and a traction control light. He also noticed some transmission issues. When we checked the codes we realized the problem was coming from the transmission control module! It turns out that the transmission control module is under the passenger side floor board. There is a drain that gets clogged under the battery. Its important to take the battery and its tray out to clean out the leaves from time to time. We cleaned the drain and replaced the control module. Replacing the module was pretty simple but you do have to re-flash it with the correct software.
